Have you ever used visual packs of the past and became enamored with the beauty that Kerbal Space Program could truly display? Did you look at the volumetric clouds and graceful atmospheric scattering and say to yourself, "It doesn't get better than this!"? Did you look at the aurorae implemented within those packs and say to yourself, "This looks amazing as well...", and yet, have a feeling that left you wanting more? Then this is the mod for you. Let's be honest, the visual packs of yester year just didn't provide the visual exceptionalism that we can achieve today, yet here, we walk forward our innovations on the shoulders of those past giants.
True volumetric aurorae, in-game, animated, including a function that expands and excites the aurorae during periodic solar storms! It also includes an editor activated in-flight by the key binds Alt+F8 that allows you to tailor the colors, visuals, and volumetrics to your machine, and your preference!
Currently, the only body in-game with aurorae is Kerbin, however in near future updates, I will be adding aurorae to ALL atmospheric bodies within the vanilla game. It is compatible with Blackrack's volumetric clouds, and TheSpacePotato's SPVE. All other visual mods are untested, so feel free to test compatibilities and message me on my KSP forum account about what it works with and what it needs a compatibility pass for.
